We are delighted to announce that we have been selected as PR and communications partner for Women’s Adventure Expo. It’s totally up our street: women doing different things, reaching ambition, going where others may fear to tread but overall showing others how to be confident, achieve and get active in whatever way possible.

We like the outdoors, most of us love adventure and activity, and we salute women who go beyond the standard, the norm, to accomplish feats that may seem impossible or unfeasible. Women’s Adventure Expo was started by sisters Tania and Bex, three years ago after recognising that women explorers and adventurers were not celebrated or recognised as much as they deserved. And they’ve done something about it.
So grab your diary and book in 6th October 2018 for the next WAExpo – it is not to be missed. But before that, WAE have another offering to tempt you. A duo faceted event at the Royal Geographical Society in London on 21st June, the team have a one-day conference on ‘The Heritage of Women in Exploration’ swiftly followed by an exciting ‘Women in the Polar Regions’ talk by the pioneering Felicity Aston, MBE.
Felicity is the first woman to solo ski across Antarctica in 2012 and she has just led the successful all-women EuroArabian North Pole Expedition. Some of these women are their first country representatives to reach the North Pole. You get the chance to put a question to Felicity and other guests including some of the Ice Maidens of the British Army Antarctica expedition as well as expanding your knowledge about the history of women in exploration – some you may know about, but many you will not.
These events are on Thursday 21st June 2018 and you can get your tickets here. It’s already proving to be a popular event, due to its intriguing and unusual topic.
