Well, we’re always pretty busy, but in the past few weeks things have really been buzzing. We’re thrilled to be working with Candide, the growing movement for gardeners, as they get ready to launch in Bristol.
Candide’s passion is to connect people with their gardens, nature and public spaces to restore balance and enjoy the outdoors. Built by gardeners, Candide’s app allows users to find out more about gardening, when to plant and to trouble shoot problems. The app also provides information for the amateur gardener and expert horticulturist, and a platform to engage with others directly.
To celebrate, Candide is hosting an Easter Bee Hunt around Bristol Harbourside on the Easter Weekend. Now that the Candide app is officially launched in the AppStore and on Google Play, we’re encouraging people to share their own gardening successes and failures, tips and questions, whether you’re a horticulturalist, an amateur gardener, or general plant-lover.
The bee hunt will follow seven locations around Bristol’s Harbourside, with free chocolate bees, bee selfies, and bee facts. Collect all 7 clues, spell the name, and upload your bee selfies and garden snaps to social media win garden centre vouchers, and in the app for the chance to win an iPhone X, using the hashtags #candide and #beehunt.
You can join the hunt for free on Saturday 31st March and Sunday 1st April, 10am – 4pm. Just download the map from www.candide.eu – don’t forget to bee creative!
