The Scoop

When we found out Lane7 was bringing its beer and bowling offering to Bristol, we were chuffed to help out. Firstly because we couldn’t wait to check it out ourselves. But also because we knew we could offer our PR and influencer marketing services. Lane7 is a bowling and entertainment venue that offers food and drinks for a whole afternoon or evening’s experience. It has already made waves in the North, and we knew that Bristolians would be on board immediately. In a prime location at Millenium Square, passing trade was never going to be a problem.

Our Response

So what did we do? Using our local expertise, guerilla tactics and wide-ranging network of contacts, we began to spread the word across the city about Lane7.

Challenges

With lockdowns only just lifting, we needed to reach out to those in the know. So we invited them down to try Lane7 for themselves. Because we knew that most people stepping out of lockdown for pretty much the first time in 15 months were probably craving their old favourite haunts. And we had to entice them to try something new.

Strategy

As well as implementing our guerilla tactics we also brought in a touch of PR and influencer marketing. We offered an evening ‘on the house’ to local influencer, to try out the entertainment as well as the food and drinks – all for free. After all, there’s no better way to generate word-of-mouth reviews than with free food. We developed brand-focused press lists including listings sites and an attractive offering with a hook. And then we sold it to press contacts and local influencer networks. Furthermore, we liaised with events, talent, model, marketing, PR and production companies leading to word-of-mouth marketing.
