Bristol City Council selected OggaDoon PR and Digital Media to provide digital marketing support for its latest public health campaign. OggaDoon’s work will help spread the word about its Small Steps campaign. Small Steps was recently launched by the Bristol Girls Can project. However it is funded by Sport England and delivered by Bristol City Council’s public health team.
The campaign reaches out to mums of young children across the Bristol area, and is designed to inspire and support them in taking small steps to being more active. So it is largely focused on areas of the city where greater health inequalities exist. The message of the campaign is start small and do what works for you. Whether that be a walk around the block, 10 minutes of hula hooping, or a kitchen disco while cooking the family dinner. Because it all counts, and it proves to families that exercise can be fun.
Approaching digital marketing support
The series digital ads was developed by OggaDoon in partnership with Small Steps and Bristol City Council. The ads feature heart-warming stories of Bristol mums experiencing the challenges of motherhood. That includes caring for their children while trying to find some time for themselves, and engaging in activities they love together. Furthermore, the mums are shown hula-hooping, skipping, and even pole dancing.
At OggaDoon, we are excited to be part of this inspiring project. It is helping to spread such a positive message and inspiring women to be more active. Because it is uplifting to see women coming together through the Bristol Girls Can Facebook community and supporting and encouraging each other to take that first small step. Offering digital marketing support for this public health campaign in our home town is something that sits close to our hearts.
