YellowDog is the tech start-up company from Bristol building the world’s fastest supercomputer.
They have the ability to access more machines than any other render service in the market – up to 96,000 processing cores. This helps makes rendering much faster, easier and efficient – great news for 3D artists and animators.
And Oracle thought it was pretty great too. YellowDog were awarded for their innovative use of Oracle Bare Metal Cloud during Oracle Open World 2016 with one of the top prizes; the Platform Innovation award.
The Bristol based start-up was chosen for creating a platform that harnesses and monetises under-utilised computer power, enabling a much faster CGI rendering service. This means they can help studios large and small render quickly and efficiently, and their on demand render service is always available and ready to go straight-away. (no priority queuing – hurrah).
YellowDog have invested a huge amount in understanding how their customers create their art. They have designed and built YellowDog so that it fits seamlessly into how they work, making the service all the more convenient. They take pride in the really personable support they give their customers as well as their products.
Oh, and, it’s all at a fixed price so the costs are always controlled.
It all seems pretty seamless to us.
Deserving winners to a prestigious award – well done YellowDog!
