Bristol’s world-leading for many reasons, but perhaps the most impressive is the impact on the UK economy as a whole: apparently the South West economy is worth £127 billion! Many a start up plays a role in the success of Bristol’s economy particularly, when it comes to tech and digital industries. Ignite Digital recently published a piece on the best Bristol startups and we were thrilled to see two of our clients appear on the list. Zeetta Networks have a vision to sees enterprises, cities, and network operators scale up the capabilities of their networks through the use of their NetOS software. In the last month alone, Zeetta Networks’ NetOS technology has enjoyed significant acclaim: nominated for Best Network Software Breakthrough GLOMO Award at the 2018 Mobile World Congress, used as the platform for the world first Layered Realities Weekend in Bristol, and secured two UK government projects, 5G Smart Tourismand 5G RuralFirst.
YellowDog is a Bristol scaleup with big ambitions for limitless compute. YellowDog securely harnesses unused compute power to unleash visual effects and 3D animation studios, and recently have secured funding to expand their innovative technology within big batch processing across the financial services industry. YellowDog has been recognised as one of the top 15 Disruptor businesses in the South West and has recently closed its latest round of funding headed up by Bloc Ventures.
SETsquared is a startup incubator affiliated with The University of Bristol. It provides supportive, modern and dynamic business space based at the heart of Bristol’s progressive digital quarter within Engine Shed, and was just last month announced as the world’s best business incubator!
